Merilampi advises Helmet Capital and other sellers on the sale of Fimpec Group to Sweco

Fimpec, a Helmet Capital investment portfolio company, is known for its expertise in consulting, engineering as well as project and construction management, specialising in the implementation of demanding investment projects. Fimpec’s expertise includes projects related to clean energy, hydrogen, bio- and circular economy, forest industry, and batteries and critical minerals. Fimpec employs around 400 professionals and its turnover in 2024 was some EUR 51 million. In addition to Finland, Fimpec has offices in Sweden, Germany, and Estonia.

Helmet Capital, acting on behalf of the sellers in the transaction, is a Finnish investment company focusing on direct majority investments in small- and medium-sized enterprises, using capital sourced from individual investors, family businesses, and institutional investors.

Sweco is a Swedish publicly listed company and Europe’s leading engineering and architecture consultancy with approximately 22,000 employees around the world. The acquisition will strengthen Sweco’s position as an expert in consulting, engineering as well as project and construction management, especially in energy and industry sectors in Finland.

The completion of the transaction is subject to the approval by the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority.
