Merilampi at the IBA Annual Conference 2026

Our team will be attending the IBA Annual Conference in Copenhagen from 4–9 October 2026. If you are attending the conference, we would be delighted to meet you – please feel free to get in touch with any of our attending team members.

Johanna Haltia-Tapio, Head of Merilampi’s Employment Practice and Partner, will be speaking at the session “Structuring the deal – key stages in M&A transactions from an employment aspect” on 6 October. Chairing the session are Simone Carrà (BCA) and Tessa Cranfield (King & Spalding), while the panel also includes Professor Christian Arnold (Gleiss Lutz), Jeanne Bønsdorff (Kromann Reumert) and Alastair Mordaunt (Freshfields). Together, the panel will discuss key employment and HR considerations arising throughout the M&A process, from due diligence to closing.

During the conference, we will also be hosting the MERILAMPI IBA Brunch Event on Thursday, 8 October at Hotel Nimb. Our guest speaker, Panu Routila, CEO of Patria Plc, will offer a client’s perspective on the opportunities, challenges and critical success factors in international M&A transactions.
