We advised Pohjolan Liikenne in its acquisition of Oubus
Through this acquisition, Pohjolan Liikenne will expand into Oulu by taking over Oubus’s entire operations. Oubus will continue to operate as an independent company for the time being, and the transaction will not affect Oubus’s existing customer relationships or agreements.
Founded in 2006, Oubus is a family-owned company providing both charter and local bus services in the Oulu region. The company employs approximately 60 transportation professionals.
Pohjolan Liikenne, part of the VR Group, currently employs around 1,400 public transport professionals across the Helsinki region, Kotka, Kuopio, and Tampere. As a pioneer of electric bus transport in Finland, the company has set an ambitious goal of operating a fully electric fleet by 2030.
