Merilampi represented Lujabetoni Oy in negotiations relating to a significant agreement concerning cooperation with Nordex Finland Oy, part of the international Nordex Group, which is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of wind turbines.
Lujabetoni will deliver prefabricated concrete elements for towers of 26 wind turbines to wind farms built by Nordex Finland. The endeavour is an important opening for Lujabetoni in the wind power business, and will also entail a major investment in expanding Lujabetoni’s plant in Kärsämäki, Northern Ostrobothnia.
High towers built as hybrid structures are expected to become more common in the wind power industry. In this regard, the project in question is Nordex’s pilot in the Nordic market, and they relied on Lujabetoni’s strong track record in production of demanding high-strength prefabricated concrete elements.
