Teemu Taxell has been appointed as Partner at Merilampi as of 1 March 2018. He joins our Dispute Resolution team and assumes responsibility as a co-head of the practice group alongside Jussi Ikonen.

Teemu Taxell (Attorney-at-Law, Trained at the Bench), 39, has broad experience in commercial litigation and arbitration. He has previously worked at Lindfors & Co and Hannes Snellman. He has represented clients in numerous domestic and international arbitrations in addition to litigations before the Finnish state courts. Moreover, Teemu serves as an arbitrator. Teemu assists our clients in all phases of disputes and conflicts from prevention of disputes and settlement negotiations through to representation in legal proceedings and enforcement of judgments and arbitral awards.

I am very excited to join Merilampi and its dispute resolution team. Merilampi has an excellent reputation, and I have personally learned to respect the firm’s work when being on the other side of the table. In our practice, it is essential to provide our customers, in their potential and realized conflict situations, with solutions which are best possible – taking into account the outcome, time and effort – to the client and its interests and business. We will continue to develop the dispute resolution practice group at Merilampi with the objective to offer the best and most effective solution-oriented service to our clients”, states Teemu Taxell.

Teemu is an excellent asset to our team, and I am extremely happy to have him by my side working towards our goal to be the best and most versatile dispute resolution practice in this country. Teemu is a modern litigation lawyer, who knows that finding a lasting and functional resolution to the dispute is exactly what our clients need – disputes per se are usually not in the interest of a client. On the other hand, Teemu is a sharp and analytical litigator, who convinces everyone in the court with his knowledge. Our clients can rest assured that Teemu will take good care of them”, Jussi Ikonen comments.
