Kai Salonen specialises in real estate and construction related contract law and litigation. His practice also includes housing and real estate transactions and related disputes. He has experience representing clients in major trials and is accredited as a mediator by the Finnish Bar Association.

I look forward to the new challenges that this role will provide. My goal is to develop the team’s work and knowledge within real estate and construction law related matters and to provide our clients even more actively with solutions based on alternative dispute resolution methods. With regard to contractors, it is important to focus on preventing disputes even before entering into agreements. Through alternative dispute resolution methods, it is possible to better take into account our clients’ individual needs and enhance the effectiveness of projects. It is our responsibility as attorneys to make sure that our clients receive a clear overall picture of the situation and are provided with different alternatives on how to progress in the matter”, Kai Salonen explains.

Kai is one of the most experienced lawyers specialising in real estate and construction law in Finland. He has successfully conducted large contract disputes and negotiations. Our clients appreciate Kai’s practical advice and excellent negotiation skills. Kai is in all respects a suitable person to take greater responsibility in the leading of our Real Estate and Construction practice”, Teemu Kauttu states.

Kai’s appointment as the co-leader of the Real Estate and Construction team is an important part of building the future of the firm. His extensive knowledge and experience of both construction firms and law firms provide our clients with an advantaged position during challenging negotiations and disputes. I also believe that Kai’s special knowledge of alternative dispute resolution will be a significant factor in our success as a law firm and in successful outcomes for our clients”, Merilampi’s Managing Partner Jussi Ikonen explains.
