Arttu Mentula has acted as legal adviser in several cases related to competition law, especially cases involving merger control clearances before the Finnish Competition Authority and the European Commission, cartel cases, horizontal agreements and other co-operation between competitors, abuse of a dominant position, distribution systems, compliance programs, state aid and public procurement matters. In addition, Arttu’s expertise includes various litigation, mergers & acquisitions, marketing law and contract law matters.

Along with his work Arttu has published various books in the field of competition and EU law, among others “Cartels in Finnish and EC Competition Law” and “Abuse of a Dominant Position in Competition Law”. He has also written articles on merger control and public procurement. He has been Chairman of the Finnish Competition Law Association during the years 2000 - 2002, alike he is a member of the present Board and the Chief Editor of the Competition Law Yearbook of the association. Arttu is an appointed expert both of the ICC’s Commission and Competition and the Finnish Bar Association’s Competition Law Section, a member of International Bar Association (IBA) and a member of American Bar Association.
