Securities Market Association appointed Lagman Pekka Merilampi Chairman of new working group

Lagman Pekka Merilampi acts as the Chairman of Securities Market Association’s new working group, which drafts self-regulation concerning remuneration of directors in listed companies.

The background for establishing the working group is the international development of the regulation concerning the remuneration of directors. The European Commission has in April 2009 adopted a new Recommendation on directors’ remuneration.

The working group reviews possible needs for updating the Corporate Governance Code of listed companies and makes the necessary proposals by the end of February 2010.
